(6) Has day-to-day responsibility for the Data Warehouse support and operations, and manages evaluation, implementation, and development projects as needed.  (7) Contributes to the overall leadership of the Enterprise Information unit inside IT to ensure that activities and priorities are well coordinated.  (8) Works closely with technical staff, internal AAMC program management staff, external partners' technical contacts, and, on occasion, external constituents. (9) Possesses the technical knowledge and the ability to effectively lead and manage information systems staff.  RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing the specification, design, development, maintenance, and operation of the AAMC Data Warehouse. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plan for and implement the expansion and enhancement of the Data Warehouse to meet the evolving data and reporting needs of the AAMC. Assure that AAMC analysts and researchers have access to the data they need in an efficient form and that all data access policies are supported and enforced. Provide positive, pro-active, thoughtful, and timely customer service to AAMC programs and staff. Establish and maintain high levels of end-user satisfaction. Assure that the Data Warehouse is current, reliable, accurate and well documented. Establish and support data retention requirements for operational systems. Gather and further define project requirements. Develop methods, procedures and quality objectives including metrics for assessing progress. Participate in IT management activities to include visioning, planning, and budgeting. Manage projects effectively in accordance with published standards and processes. Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors and key clients. Evaluate commercial products and make build or buy recommendations.
